The assignment requires you to produce a word annotated bibliography about a nursing intervention from the list of suggested topics. Select a research question from the list provided. Assessment Informaton/Brief 2 The assignment should include

1. Background information

Provide background information on the selected topic. Discuss global and national statistics on the topic or demonstrate relevance to context (global and national picture). Discuss the importance of the topic and the implications on the individual, families, and the larger community. Support all discussions/ statements using current and relevant evidence.

2. Search strategy

Use MEDLINE or CINAHL database to identify one current (ideally within last 10 years) primary research article. State the database used and discuss the rationale for choosing the database. Demonstrate search strategy by using PICO or PEO question framework to the selected topic. Explain search terms/ keywords used. Demonstrate the application of Boolean Operators. Explain the inclusion and exclusion criteria used. Explain how you have narrowed down to one primary article and support this with PRISMA flowchart. Ensure all steps of the search strategy is supported with appropriate evidence. 

3. Critical Appraisal

Explain the importance of appraising literature in evidencebased practice. State reasons for using Caldwell tool for appraising the selected article. Provide full reference of the one primary research article. Provide an overview of the selected article and its relevance to the selected research question. Using Caldwell framework, critically appraise the paper that you have found. Ensure minimum of 5 critical appraisal points/ criteria are included. Demonstrate in-depth understanding of the critical appraisal process by using other evidence to support statements /arguments.

4. Findings

Discuss the findings of the selected primary research article. By using other evidence, explain how the findings are different or similar to other studies. Explain the strengths and limitations reported by the author(s) of the selected primary article.

5. Implications for practice

Discuss how the findings from the primary article could be applied to practice. Discuss potential barriers and challenges of implementing findings in practice. Include your recommendations. 

6. Conclusion

Include summary of the relevant points from the article and its implication on nursing practice
