Question 1 (6 Marks)
Complete the following table of cardiovascular responses at rets, cycling for 5 min at a steady-state intensity of 75% VO 2 max and during maximal cycling for a 39 year old male weighing 85 kgs.
Note: You will need to make some assumptions to complete the table.

b) If [Hb] was increased by blood doping to 165g/L, calculate (a-v)O 2 difference and the Q required to provide the same V?O 2 as calculated in a. (using the same partial pressures of oxygen) (2 marks)
