It is possible that you don't love any of the designers that I have provided as options. If that is the case please choose the one that you are most interested in. I tried to choose a wide array of designers from around the world with a variety of styles. The people that I chose are all internationally respected designers who's work is influential and important. Part of the purpose of this assignment is for you to learn about a designer who's work is well regarded around the world and has influenced our taste and behavior. 

Requirements: 

• Your report needs to be 3 pages single spaced (at least 1,500 words). Your name and the tittle do not count as part of those 3 pages. Include biographical information about the designer and commentary on their work. I want to know about the importance of their work, what materials they use and some information about the process that they use to create their work. When referring to the designer you should always use either their full name or last name only. It is not appropriate to refer to a person of notoriety by their first name only. You are not writing about you best friend or a casual acquaintance.
•   In the past I have had students give fairly uninformed negative opinions about their designers. This was probably because they didn't understand the work and didn't like it very much. While I am interested in your opinion of the designer's work, you do not need to include that in your report. It is entirely possible that you don’t like the work, or that you think it’s weird, that’s fine. What you need to keep in mind is that this designer is internationally recognized for being excellent. People who have more education and experience than you think that their work is great. Rather than dismissing the work as being weird or bad it will be more fruitful to really try to understand what makes the work so good.
•  In addition to the written part of your report I want you to include at least 5 images of work by your designer with commentary written by you to go along with each picture. The commentary should be 3 or 4 sentences of well thought out analysis. The pictures and commentary do not count as part of the 3 written pages. Please use caution when searching for pictures of work and be careful about what you look at. I tried to choose designers who do work that is not explicit, but sometimes the internet can be a pretty toxic place. 
• If you use a direct quote put it in quotation marks and sight the source. If something in your report seems like it was written by someone else I will look it up and if you plagiarize even a part of your report you will get a zero. Everything you write should either be in your own words, or have quotation marks and a citation. 
• Because of the circumstances we find ourselves in you may not be able to get any books about these designers. It’s ok to use the internet as your primary source of information. Just make sure that you are using a reputable source. Please use more than one source for your information. If you copy and paste 
• you report from Wikipedia or any other source bad things will happen to you . You may find it useful to look up videos about your designer. Many of these people will have a variety of videos about them on the internet. In person interviews are generally better than low budget opinion based videos. Use good judgment.
