Task: 1 Research methodology is a systematic approach for reducing the degree of uncertainties encountered in research. It helps in shaping the research orientation of a researcher. In this module, students have been introduced to various research aspects of research methodology. Problem statement: Based upon the above referred review, a technical note should be developed highlighting:

2. Assumptions of the individual thesis
3. Techniques invoked along with its merits and constraints
4. Recommended suggestions and feasibility of their incorporation
5. Appreciation of the individual thesis reviewed with emphasis on introduction, problem definition and suggested future work
6. Based on suggested future work, the title and aim of the thesis which the student can propose for the Research

Task: 2   This is a continuation of Part A of the assignment. A thorough literature review is an essential part of a research activity that has to be carried out throughout a research program. Student’s own analysis of the research papers is an important aspect of literature review. In this part of the assignment, students have to compile a report on the literature survey covering the “Specific Topic of Research”. Problem statement  

• Based on selected thesis under Part A of this assignment, students have to assume  the progression from the “Specific Field of Research ” to “ Specific Topic of Research”
• Two research papers published in international journals related to the student’s  specific topic of research interest have to be identified
• An analysis of the identified 2 papers be carried out from the perspective of literature review
• A report on the conducted “Literature Review” needs to be prepared. The report should include :

• • Brief introduction to the Specific topic of research and its significance to current scenario (Premier books and journal papers can be referred to compile the “introduction”)

• • Student’s own analysis of individual papers and broadly discuss the:

• • • Assumptions
    • Methodology
    • Results obtained
    • Conclusions drawn
    • Highlight of any technical gaps/issues/controversies in the reviewed literature
