This has been recommended by the 264th Law Commission Report along with other measures to eliminate the discrepancies between the IPC and FSSA.

• The effectiveness of the Indian legislative framework to curb food adulteration through case laws and case studies (Maggi/milk/honey adulteration, proprietary foods, small scale vs big corporation adulteration, crude methods vs. innovative/nondeductible methods of adulterations, discrepancies between IPC and FSSA).
