Task:
You should divide into TEN (10) groups. This group assignment is divided into two parts, namely:
•Assignment 1 – Group Tutorial/Activity Discussion and Participation (25%)
•Assignment 2 – Application Questions/Problem Solving (75%)
1) 1 day late from the date of submission - 25% will be deducted.
2 days late from the date of submission - 50% will be deducted.
More than 2 days late from the date of submission - “0” grade will be awarded

The work that a student submits for grading must be the student’s own work, reflecting his or her learning. Where work from other sources is used, it must be properly acknowledged and referenced. Tasks:
Each tutorial class should be divided into 10 groups.
Each group is required to prepare complete tutorial/group activity answers and present/show the answers during tutorial class. Allocation of tutorial questions is under the discretion of the tutor (weekly basis before your tutorial class starts).
Students will be assessed from Week 6 to Week 10.
A group leader should be appointed in every group to allocate tutorial questions to group members. The group leader is also required to submit a list of the group members to tutor by Week 5.
All group members must be involved in the presentation/discussion.
Kindly refer to Appendix 2 for assessment grid and marks allocation.
Prior to the presentation/discussion, students are required to complete the group assignment (tutorial/group activity questions and answers) thru Microsoft Teams (share files). The due date and time for each of the tutorial submission is weekly basis (before tutorial presentation/discussion).
Instruction:
Handwritten or type is acceptable. Handwritten answer must be scanned.
If you are using Microsoft Excel to compute the answers, please print screen your answer and save the answer in PDF file (you are required to submit your Microsoft Excel’s file together with your full answer in PDF file).
Submission: Softcopy [(i) 1 PDF file or (ii) 1 PDF file and 1 Microsoft Excel file] to be submitted to the CN Dropbox by the group leader.
Due date: 28th July 2021 (before 11.59pm).
Format:

Perform a vertical analysis of the Golden Hotel’s March 31, 2017 and 2018 Income Statement and Balance Sheet, respectively.
Perform a horizontal analysis of the Golden Hotel’s March 2017 and 2018 Income Statement and Balance Sheet, respectively.
Prepare the statement of Cash Flow for Golden Hotel as in March 2017 and 2018, respectively.

Question 2:
The Roxy Lodge provides a residential convention service in England’s Yorkshire Dales. The lodge’s general manager is concerned about cash flow in the next few months particularly as insurance will soon be due for payment. The following revenue and expense estimates have been developed for the first four months of 2020:
It has been estimated that sales in December 2019 will be £9,500. Previous cash collections indicate that 10% of all sales are collected in the month prior to the sale as a deposit. Fifty per cent of all sales are collected in the month of the sale, and 40% of sales are collected in the month following the sale.
Variable costs are 15% of revenue. Ninety per cent of variable costs are paid in the month of the sale to which they relate, and the remainder are paid in the month prior to the sale (purchase of some food and other items in preparation for conventions).
Salary and ground maintenance fixed costs are paid for as they are incurred. Insurance is paid for twice a year, in January and July. It is estimated that on 1 January 2020 the lodge will have £4,200 in its bank account.
Required:
Prepare a cash budget showing receipts, disbursements and opening and closing cash balances for each of the first three months of 2020.
