1. Provide an explanation (1 page max combined for both companies) of why your firms performance has deviated. What (if anything) are the two firms doing in response to prepare for the pandemic? (10 marks) 

2. What kinds of debt securities has your firm issued (if any) this year? (Hint: Make reference to debt levels (and maturities if know), as well as changes to cashflows). What is the return on the firms debt securities? (Hint: interest expense/debt value = yield). How does this compare to the current RBA cash rate of 0.25%? Why do you think these differences occur?  

3. Find a close competitor to each of your two firms. Using the same data sources, time horizons and process as in your group assignment, calculate the beta, expected return and standard deviation of returns for these two new firms.  (5 marks) 

4. Treating your two pairs of firm and competitor as an ‘industry’, provide some brief commentary on this business/industry? (ie cyclical, counter-cyclical, etc) Given the current state of the market cycle, do you think each industry is likely to outperform or underperform? Why?(10 marks) 

5. Pick a recent company announcement for each of the two companies from Q1 (last 3 months) -  how did the market respond to this announcement? (Hint, provide a graph of abnormal returns) Given the response of your firms, do you think the market exhibits characteristics consistent with weak-form, semi-strong form or strong-form efficiency? Why? (20 marks)
