Your task is to provide forecasts and measures of forecast uncertainty for the following variables: 
1. Australian gross domestic product (Chain volume measure, seasonally adjusted);

2. The Australian participation rate (Persons, original);

3. US Total Construction Spending (Millions of Dollars, Seasonally Adjusted Annual Rate, Monthly).

4. The US Industrial Production Index (Seasonally Adjusted, Monthly). 

For Australian GDP you should provide forecasts for the 4 quarters following the last published observation. For the other variables, you should provide forecasts for the 12 months following the last published observation. 
You must write and submit a brief report on the production of your forecasts. Your report should consist of fewer than 2000 words (the word count excludes R code, tables, plots, etc, but includes footnotes). It should be structured in a manner similar to a university essay. It must provide the marker with a clear account of all the steps you took to produce your forecasts and cogent arguments in favour of the foreasting models that you chose. Your report should include at least 4 sections (i.e. a section for each variable) with subsections as appropriate. It must include plots of the variables and any other plots, figures or tables that you think are relevant. Your report should not include appendices. Instead, any tables, figures, etc, should be included in the text of the report at the point at which they are discussed. You should proofread your work and ensure that the spelling and grammar are correct. 
Your report should be written using R Markdown. It should contain all the R code used to generate the results, including the commands that download the data. You must submit at least 2 document.

2. The R Markdown file (and any other files) that produced the PDF version of your report should be submitted using the appropriate link in iLearn.
