Please carry out the necessary forensic analysis that include performing network traffic analysis using wireshark analyzer, xplico to check the incognito browser in private mode are sending personal data to outsiders (target advertising and recommendation websites).
Also examine the other OS like Linux,macOS which can be installed as a VM and to compare the difference between the VM and non-VM instances of the same OS, as virtual machine may operate in a different manner (e.g., hibernation).
Forensic tools that include FTK Imager, Winhex, Browser History Capture
,Browser history examiner(trial version), Autopsy should be used to carry out the forensic analysis. The data needs to encompass a full session of realistic browsing, including social media presence, search engine queries, adding bookmarks, streaming and downloading pictures and videos, collecting cookies, and saving login/form data. The same procedure needs to be done in both publixc and private browsing modes to compare similar artifacts.
RAM, pagefile.sys, hiberfil.sys, recovery.dat, etc., needs a further investigation. Tools can be used, such as DumpIt.
How the data generated should be clearly explained in the report.
Browser extensions definitely need to be examined. Multiple sessions of an extension in public and private mode may syn or share data that is otherwise not available in the private mode.
Windows registry is another place you can take a look.
