A range of formative and summative assessments are used, which are appropriate to the teaching and learning delivery of each module.

Formative 

The formative assessment activities for this module will include referencing exercises, self-reflection exercises, goal setting, and writing exercises. Oral and recorded feedback will be given on tasks.

Summative

Identify a real-world problem from any sector and propose a solution using blockchain & crypto. Learners will be required to analyse, research, define and prototype a solution for a complex entrepreneurial situation using blockchain technologies.

The process and output will be documented in a report or paper which critically considers:

• The real-world context entrepreneurial situations and associated entrepreneurial theories
• Mining process to form a blockchain and technologies underlying cryptocurrencies and smart contracts. Associated scientific literature. Security implications Regulatory requirements
• The potential for commercialising the solution via a digital start-up business. Critically evaluate concepts related to distributed ledgers, consensus mechanisms, and the technologies underlying cryptocurrencies, cryptoassets and smart contracts.
• Investigate security, ethical and social considerations linked to the proposed solution.
• Utilise structured reflection to provide a critical evaluation of your personal contribution to the project.
• Consider your team's performance in the context of theories of effective teamwork.
