• Juliet is a creative person who likes writing stories in her spare time. She meets with Romeo, an editor employed by a publishing company, Crying Hearts Ltd (CHL). She shows Romeo a manuscript of a science fiction novel she has written, and asks him if CHL would be interested in publishing it. 
• During the course of the conversation Juliet also tells Romeo her life story. A few weeks later, Romeo sends Juliet an email saying 
• ‘Our business will not be publishing your science fiction novel’.
• Juliet is also employed as a writer for The Riverina Times newspaper, owned by McCormack Printing Pty Limited (MPPL).  Part of her duties involves writing an advice column.  In one of these columns she writes a brief story about a person who does not recognise people he has met before as an example of a difficult social situation.
• Juliet comes to ask you for legal advice after she was in a bookshop and saw:
• a novel published by CHL called Voyage to the Stars, which is taken word for word from the manuscript she gave Romeo;
• a book entitled My Awful Career, which contains her life story as narrated by her to Romeo, written by Marcelo Corleone, who is a contract writer for CHL;
• a novel entitled A Terrible Mistake, published by the book production department of MPPL, the storyline of which is the same as the story she wrote about in her column;
• Juliet also finds out there are 5,000 copies of the first two books in the CHL warehouse, ready to be distributed to stores.
• Advise Juliet as to her legal position in relation to the three books, including what remedies may be available to her, supporting your answer by citing relevant legal authority.
