GEN210 : Research Essay Proposal - Annotated Bibliography

Task :

Research and write a 1000-word essay proposal with an annotated bibliography (annotated bibliography is not included in word count). ? You must use a minimum of 7 academic sources. These can be made up of books and journal articles. Websites do not count as academic sources, and media articles or blog posts do not count either. You can use relevant information from those sources with correct referencing, but those sources would need to be in additional to the 7 academic sources that you use. ? Each essay question below includes at least 2 references to get you started in answering the question. ? I recommend that you first decide on at least 1 question you’re interested in answering, and then skimming the recommended readings related to that question. That will give you a better sense of whether or not you want to pursue that topic. Once you have decided on your essay question, you should then properly read the recommended readings and write annotations about them for your annotated bibliography. Check the references cited in case there are other sources that are relevant to your topic. Otherwise, you will need to do a library search for other sources. The annotated bibliography should be completed before you write your essay proposal. I recommend that you have it completed by the end of week 5 ideally so that you have weeks 6 and 7 to write the proposal. ? You may modify any of the questions below or write your own question but it must be approved by your tutor. ? If you require an extension of less than 1 week, please ask your tutor. If you require a longer extension you will need to apply for one using the online system.
