Post-MBA, I aspire to move towards General Management strategic roles in conglomerates to take major corporate decisions, develop a long-term strategy for the company, identify growth opportunities and leverage fact-based analysis to engender sustainable top/bottom-line impact. In the Long-term, I aspire to attain an industry-leader/C-suite position shaping organizational strategy and structuring firm-wide policy.Working for 6+ years across functions at Indian Oil, I have core competencies such as business development, stakeholder management, interpersonal skills, and an in-depth understanding of sustainability paradigms. Also, in this multi-faceted client-facing role, I have had a steep learning curve by interacting with the blue-collared machine operators to CEOs/CXOs of global conglomerates and MSMEs to MNCs. These experiences have fundamentally catalysed my personal and professional development and fuelled me to take up strategy and leadership roles.I felt the need to improve my organization management, supply chain management, corporate strategy, corporate finance, and marketing analytics to climb up the ladder and steer towards my career goals. Hence, a holistic management program will optimally bridge such skill gaps, equipping me with commensurate cachet, knowledge and network to actualize my goals.The EPGP program at IIM Bangalore would allow me to expeditiously complement my professional experience through my professional experience through a robust curriculum that covers all the aspects of management. Core courses such as managerial economics, Operations Management, Corporate finance and operation Strategy, I will build skills that are imperative to gain a 360° perspective of business and to transition into a senior management role. Elective courses such as Corporate strategy, Strategic Business transformation and strategic leadership would help me hone the desired skills for my career goals.  Along with comprehensive project that will give me opportunity to work on a live issue, IIM-B will also help me gain cross-industry and cross-functional perspective from the diverse backgrounds of my peers. Collaborating with the best business minds in the country will instil inter-disciplinary perspectives of analysing/solving complex problems – crucial in carving my niche in a VUCA business-ecosystem.Also, I would like to join IIMB’s FOCAL & WIM clubs to hone my team management and leadership skills. I look forward to leveraging all the classroom learning combined with my 5 years of experience to help me achieve my future goals.The International immersion in fourth term would provide an opportunity to broaden my learning and deepen knowledge about an increasingly globalized economic environment. Also, it provides avenues to interact with future business leaders from across the globe and learn insights on various regional economic, social, political and cultural life
