Medical records data indicate that subsequent to lithium carbonate overdose George has developed polyuria, polydipsia, proteinuria, and hypovolemia and has now been diagnosed with acute renal failure.

b) George must undergo haemodialysis to help stabilise his condition. Considering what you know of normal renal function, propose how haemodialysis replaces kidney's function.
