Undertaking GIP requires:

• Choosing a global company to analyze
• Choosing a country to investigate including giving your supporting rationale
• Analyzing the company externally as well as internally
• Recommending and justifying strategies for the company going forward in the short, medium and long term
• Applying Strategy models/ frameworks / theory to a very practical context
• Linking together the Strategy models/ frameworks / theory in a coherent and logical sequence
• Applying other courses taken (thus far) where relevant

Choosing Your Company and Country:

• The company chosen should not be a company anyone within a student group is currently working for or has worked for in the past
• Company should not have been chosen/ studied as part of the EMBA in another course before
• Company should not be Headquarter/ based in the country of student nationality/ residence / course delivery
• Company should not have entered the chosen country before. It may be contemplating entry (but it has not as yet entered)
• Groups may choose to develop an initial strategic criteria to help consider and choose their company and country to investigate
