For this assignment, you are required to submit an individual reflective essay on one of the readings from the first 7 weeks of the course. A reflective essay is one where you use a question, or, in this case, a particular reading, to consider your own position in relation to a topic, and to draw a deeper understanding and critique of the issue from that. You do, however, need to use other academic materials and evidence to support your argument.

Key requirements:

There are two parts to this assignment:

1. Workshop discussion (5%): in the week for which your reading is set, you will be asked to:

   1. summarise key points of the reading, and 

   2. start class discussion

2. Write a 2,000-word reflective essay (30%) on the reading, to be submitted online via Turnitin Please note that this means if you choose a reading from Week 7, your essay will be due on the Friday in the middle of Semester Recess – the 17th of April. Lateness will be penalized
