Activity

• As you watch the movie - “Arrival” directed by Denis Villeneuve (2016), make a note of EIGHT scenes that stood out to you and that made an impact on you.
• Describe each scene in detail. Outline all aspects of the scenes - comment on the camera shots, camera angles, camera movements, lighting, music and the composition of your chosen scenes.
• PLEASE screenshot the scenes to help me visualize your descriptions.
• Write a movie review for “Arrival”. The movie review must be your own. Do not quote other movie reviews for “Arrival”.
• State what you liked about the movie and state what you disliked about the movie. Give the movie a rating out of FIVE Stars.
• Please comment on the directing style of the movie. In other words, do you like the way the movie was presented?
• BE MINDFUL OF YOUR GRAMMAR AND SENTENCE STRUCTURE.
• Create a movie poster for “Arrival”. You may use Photoshop -Photopea or Canva to create your movie poster.
• You will need to type up a STEPS journal for the movie poster. If you wish you may draw your poster.

• Are the tasks fully explained in proper movie language? Is it evident in your descriptions that you know what to look for in movie production.

• Did you put thought into organizing your ideas? Are your ideas and comments clear and concise?

Communication

• Are the Tasks easy to follow and understand? Are the Tasks free of grammatical errors? Do the Journals clearly outline your steps in creating the Movie Poster.

• Is your Prezi, PowerPoint and or Google Slides Presentation clear, concise and easy to follow?
• Are your screenshots used effectively to convey your ideas for your scenes?
• Are the Tasks fully complete?
• Does the Photoshop Photopea Canva - Movie Poster demonstrate your effective use of the tools in the program?
