Aim
The aim of the project is to develop competency using Illustrator to construct illustrations, apply design principles and use Indesign to present and discuss the work, in a format suitable for offset printing.

Objective

As a result of this project, students will be able to use an object of their choice as reference to draw an accurate vector line illustration, two or more creative illustrations and an instructional diagram demonstrating how the object can be used. They will apply design principles and prepare files suitable for CMYK offset printing using Illustrator software. Students will be able to present the photographed object, illustrations, instructional diagram and written summary of the Illustrator tools and processes on a supplied A3 Indesign template and Package it ready for offset printing. Completion of the Week 4 Illustrator Activity will enable students to use the Pen Tool and essential Illustrator construction tools whilst considering design principles.
