My community report is about the most fastest growing city in Victoria The City of Greater Geelong, which is located in south-western Victoria, about 75 kilometres south-west of the Melbourne CBD. The City of Greater Geelong is bounded by Moorabool Shire in the north, Wyndham City and the Borough of Queenscliffe in the east, Bass Strait in the south, and Surf Coast Shire and Golden Plains Shire in the west. The Wathaurong people were Geelong’s first residents and they originally called it the bay “Corayo’’ the name had similar meaning to Geelong. Somehow it got changed and now its call the land of Geelong and the bay Corio. Geelong has unique buildings example: Geelong Gaol was built in 1864 reflect an important phase of prison constructed in Victoria, Geelong town Hall, Geelong railway station was constructed in 1877 by Overend and Robb on Melbourne-Gelong line from Victoria railways, former Geelong wool exchange, Geelong former post office and lot old building churches and many other old buildings exist in Geelong.
