1. Percentages, powers & roots, algebraic expressions and algebraic equations.  
2. The solution or steps by providing appropriate examples when working with percentages in    relation to: 
a. Percentage of a quantity, increasing and decreasing by a percentage, repeated percentage change and weighted percentages.  
b. Simplifying algebraic equation in one unknown
c. Finding the unknown variable in an algebraic equation. 

Your report should contain the following: 
• Introduction:
Introduction which will reflect the discussion about the meaning and concept of percentages, powers and roots, algebraic expressions and algebraic equations. (400 words equivalent)  

• Solution and Discussion 
Solution or steps when working with the type of percentages problems for  percentage of a quantity, increasing and decreasing by a percentage, repeated percentage change for depreciation or compound amount and weighted percentages. Student needs to provide one example for each and discuss the solution. (1,300 words equivalent) 

The solution in simplifying algebraic expression using the concept of powers and roots. Student needs to provide at least three (3) examples and discuss the solution. (400 words equivalent) 

The solution in simplifying algebraic equation in one unknown.  Student needs toprovide two (2) examples, one with brackets and the other one with no bracket and discusses the solution. (500 words equivalent) 

• Conclusion
Student needs to summarise the key points in the discussion.  (400 words equivalent)
