You may choose to respond to the Apply to practice prompts from Chapters 4 or 5.

1. Name three assessments that you have seen or have used. Describe how the assessment was used in a formative way? What impact does or would use assessment in this way in your practice?
2. Describe the ways that you conduct or have been taught to conduct assessment. What are the kinds of factors that contribute to “noise” in your environment? What strategies do you use, or could you use, to minimize this noise?
3. List ways in which you have seen assessment results presented. What information did they provide about student learning? How useful would they have been in learning environment that was using a development model of learning?
