Introduction
i.
Assume the reader knows nothing of the topic, organisation being studied or theory – Introduce them all, using a funnelling approach – overall topic, brief mention of relevant theories, organisation (size, location, number of people etc.).
ii. Rationale for the research – why bother doing it? – include the research significance, problem statements
iii. Objectives – three or four clear, concise, specific objective statements of one or two lines each only, and accompanying research questions.

Literature Review
i.
Critical analysis of literature on the subject – general literature/articles/text/websites
ii. Critical analysis of the organisation you are focussing on – Website, any published materials, news articles etc
iii. Critical analysis of the theories you will use to underpin the research
iv. End with a summary conceptual framework drawing – this is your own model which will show how the theory and literature you have read will help you in analysing the study and reaching conclusions

 Research Methodology
i.
A critical discussion of the approach you will take – I recommend using the Saunders research onion headings and writing a critical discussion of each and state which of the methods under each heading you will use and why–
1. Philosophies
2. Approaches
3. Strategies
4. Choices
5. Time Horizons
6. Sample selection and size
7. Techniques and Procedures – descriptive section of how you will physically do the research. This should also include a discussion of how you have developed any questionnaire or interview questions and the reasons for them
8. Methods of analysis Critical discussion of the method of analysis to be used
9. Research Ethics – Discussion of implication of ethics in your study (including completed ethics forms in the appendix)
10. Pilot study (not always done, but good practice). This is where you test the method for the primary research on a small number of people to make sure the questionnaire can be understood (and/or the interview questions) and that it gives you information that can be analysed.

 Findings and Analysis
1.
State each question as a subheading and present the data in graphs/tables with a short description (this is to ensure understanding)
2. Analyse the data – this is where you should look to analyses the data in more depth – for example cross referring (tabulation) of the answers from different questions to look for any links (quantitative) and/or thematic discussion/summary of qualitative. Exactly what you will show here will be determined on your reading and development of your methods of analysis from the research methods section and should be well thought out.

 Conclusions & Recommendations

The conclusions section should serve to bring all the research back together, so will involve discussing the findings from the primary research and comparing/contrasting to the literature review and theories. Your aim is to show how the literature and theory supports or contradicts your findings (either is just as powerful so don’t worry if your findings are not in line with the theory). This means you should be clearly referencing the literature and theory again. A good technique is to use each of the original objectives as a subheading (after a short introduction to the section) and show how the objective has been achieved, or why it has not been achieved.

Recommendations – follow the same pattern, based on the objectives.

Recommendations for further research – finish off by talking about how the research could be improved – think what you would have liked to have done had you had more resources (money and time). A relatively short study such as this should be the starting point for a larger study – what would that larger study be ?

Involve the possibility of incidental findings related to health status?

3. Fit into any of the following security-sensitive categories: concerns terrorist or extreme groups; commissioned by the oa ioned under an EU security call; involve the acquisition of security clearances? If you believe you may need to answer yes to this question,
