Key terms- Good – OPW crew support, timing of drops suit labour demand, staying afloat peak, labour sharing, 64/65 and handling 113/114,

Bad – crop cleaning, delivery of consistent message to pickers, retention, inability to merge and mix crews – sierra victor merge took two weeks to be approved

Good- In this season overall, 95% of the opw crews we got and they did really a good job through out the whole season. Even though we have a big challenges this season, with the help of this opw crews atleast we did a good job from priortising the harvest blocks to harvest. In addition to this, according to our labour demand & crop stages we make a right decision to start & stop the blocks. For example 113& 114 blocks got a big challenge with 50% of the crumble where it’s a challenge every day for us to give piecerates & send the crews there. But, anyway from the harvest part we make a right decisions to make no second picking , increasing piece rates & then finally dropping the block at the right time. For also 64, 65 blcoks as well we got a big challenge with a mold where we need to spend lot of time to get a right quality as well.

Poor- Due to labour challenges & less pickers, the blocks haven’t cleaned properly because of more volumes coming out &from pickers part they are not ready to come & repack the fruit as well.

In addition, when we got less than ten pickers in one crew we are going to send home & not picking as our overhead costs are increasing .

In addition , one time we planned to merge two crews, but for this to got approval for merging crews it taking two weeks time where most of the pickers already left.
