Critical Theoretical Review Assignment:

Task: For this task you are required to: Step 1 Choose two of the theories covered in the first 6 weeks of the semester (excluding the theories covered in assignment 1: Reflective Statement). Lecture 5 and 6 Step 2 Contrast and compare the two theories in relation to a) how they ‘explain’ crime and b) inform the way(s) we respond to crime and social harm. Step 3 Submit a comparative analysis of the two criminological theories, including an evidenced opinion on which of the two you believe is most useful for explaining crime and why.
