a) A Portfolio which will contain a reflective account that relates to the specifically Level 6 taught sessions and have reference to the studies from Level 5 modules where appropriate. Directed learning or case studies which will require critical evaluation of the policies, procedures and strategies discussed in the learning sessions from this module must also be reflected upon.

b) This module learning sessions will consist of about 12 sessions covering a wide range of topics of Safety, Health and Environment from various industry practitioners. Refer to attached schedule (Appendix A) for the topics of talks given. All the content presented by the presenters in the 12 sessions will be part of the reflection in the portfolio.

c) The portfolio may include key reference material & evidence to support the students work. The finished reflection should include an analysis of the learning journey the student has embarked upon since beginning the course, identify changes in beliefs or thinking, discuss any critical incidents they have encountered, and if in work, how the course may have impacted upon their work.

d) The student shall also reflect upon what new knowledge has been accrued, methods used to gain the knowledge, comment upon how they may approach the learning if it was repeated. Critical comment shall be included regarding how the combined knowledge may be used in the future as well as identifying any future learning points and discuss how they may fill the knowledge gap.

e) The value of the portfolio for assessment purposes is 100%. The report portfolio is to be submitted in Blackboard online (words format) on Friday 8 th September 2023.

You will also need to hand in an electronic copy, using Turn It In. No hardcopy submission required. All submissions must be online through the MDIS Blackboard.
