Task detail

Based on your supervisory experience, identify a framework for supporting and augmenting clinical learning / teaching skills within your work area. Integrate the theoretical basis of the framework to promote professional and personal learning, and inter-professional networks for the creation of a sustainable quality learning environment.

1. Use the framework to analyse your current work area as a learning environment.
2. Identify any challenges and the changes and strategies which could be implemented to improve the quality of the learning experience. 
3. Identify how the selected framework would work with your own team and across other teams in your work area.

In your discussion, analyse and relate to expert opinion and best practice literature, including research-based literature to support your discussion.  From this analysis, identify how you can use this framework to develop your workplace as a quality learning environment.

• Theoretical basis for framework is clearly identified with appropriate rationale / justification as to why you have chosen the framework. The rationale needs to consider how to integrate personal and professional learning and inter-professional networking for a sustainable quality learning environment.

Application of Framework

• Applies the framework and critically analyses the current learning environment within the workplace, identifying issues / challenges and opportunities. Critical analysis should be used to identify issues, challenges and opportunities and any changes that can be made to improve the quality of the learning experience for workplace learners.
• Identification of use within the team and other teams in the work area including other health professionals and staff.
• Strategies used to implement such a framework within the workplace – and to promote your workplace as a quality learning environment for all team members.
