Clinical facilitation involves support of the clinical learning process in a variety of ways. Often this will involve the delivery of a short in-service style education session on a skill or topic of relevance to a particular group.

Task Instructions: 

1. • Prepare an in-service on a clinical skill/topic of relevance to your discipline at a 'novice' level incorporating the principles of adult learning as discussed in module 2.

   • The content will be suitable for a 15 minute in service session. It is important to consider this when preparing your slides and time the delivery as if you were doing it live. The time may include any engagement activities that form a part of the session.

   • The in-service will be prepared using PowerPoint with a maximum of 20 slides to be uploaded to learnline.

   • There will be a reference slide at the end in CDU APA 7th style which wont be counted in the final number (max 20).

   • The presentation will be accompanied by a 500-word written task explaining the integration of the 'principles of adult learning' throughout the in-service.

   • The emphasis of this task is on the design in relation to adult learning principles. However the subject matter should be accurate and relevant references provided in the reference slide and written component as appropriate.

Note: This in-service will not be presented, but will be made available to other students in the unit after the tasks have been graded to share the knowledge within the group.
