The primary problem that is addressed throughout the course of the quality improvement project revolves around safeguarding residential care facility and ensuring prevention of pressure injuries. Pressure injuries are a significant concern for persons who are wheelchair bound, bedridden or have mobility issues (Fulbrook, Lawrence & Miles, 2019). This injury occurred primarily due to sustained pressure exertion on a particular point of the body. As a consequence of which tissue damage takes place, which in turn results into serious health complications. The residential care residents are potentially vulnerable towards pressure injuries (Song et al. 2019).
