Task:
This distinct series serves to highlight controversy in the scientific literature, allowing a current debate to be captured and evidence to be explored. Two groups of researchers are asked to contribute their conflicting perspectives on a topic of their expertise, and then are subsequently asked to provide a rebuttal to the other groups' proposal.
You'll find four manuscripts for each debate: 1. A CrossTalk "Proposal" 2. A CrossTalk "Opposing View" 3. and 4. A "Rebuttal" from each author group to the others initial submission.

The opposing view
Nybo and Lundby opposes the claim thoI: heat acclimatization improves exercise performance in cool condition. In contrast to study by Lorenzo et al. 2010 they found no change in outdoor bicycle or laboratory ergometer time trial performance or maximal oxygen consumption. There result matched with Lorenzo study when the trails were conducted in heat. There is a need of pre-tests that depicts that subjects have reached their maximum performance from optimized training in order to compare with the results of cooler environment. According to the opposing group, proposal group missed implementation of scientific gold standard design of blinded, placebo- controlled, cross-over trails which accounts for errors in results. Nybo and Lundby also proposed that cyclists who have been training for years in high intensity would not qualify for the results of improved performance due to HA in cool temperature (Karlsen et al. 2015). They also point out that there is no experimental evidence that shows an increase in plasma volume by exercising in cool temperature.
