She has never married and has no children. She used to work as a beautician and has always taken pride in her appearance. Her past medical history includes. HLT54115 Myocardial infarct (MI) Diagnosed 10 years ago - Hypertension Diagnosed 10 years ago - Osteoarthritis, particularly in her right knee. - Anxiety and depression Diagnosed 2 years ago She has more recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Dementia and urinary incontinence (urgency incontinence <12 months) She ambulates with a 4 wheeled frame; however, staff often find that she leaves the frame and is found walking in the hallways. Alice requires one nurse to assist with personal care, including dental care (full lower/ partial upper dentures). HLT54115 Staff encourage her to attend social activities with other residents, however she tends to stay for only short periods and leaves the activity. Alice tends to wander around the facility and often forgets where her room is and requires staff to reorientate her often several times per day. Staff have also noted that she is wandering through the night, and spending time asleep during the day due to her night time wandering. Alice complains that she has increasing pain in her right knee, however when asked about the pain she does not appear to be able to be to give accurate information to staff. Her answers often seem quite confused. HLT54115 She has had two falls this year, both resulting in no injuries. Alice is able to eat her meals without staff assistance, however more recently the staff have noticed that is eating less and at times forgets her even there. Often her meals are returned completely uneaten. She has had a recent weight loss over the last 2 months) of more than 1kg, from 56.6 kg to 55.6 kg.
