ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS 
You are tasked with developing a Strategic Plan for the future of the hotel you have been managing through HOTS. This is an opportunity for you to review the balanced scorecard through performance indicators and review the results from your balance scorecard through performance indicators. Based on the balanced scorecard results, you will provide strategic recommendations for various key hotel departments (Front office, housekeeping, F&B, Marketing, Human Resource) to improve the overall performance indicators of your hotel.  

Your plan should include: 

1. Reviewing the key indicators of your hotel such as but not limited to (attach your balanced scorecard in your report):

• REVPAR 
• Gross Operating Profit
• Market share
• ROCE
• Guest satisfaction
• Staff satisfaction
• ADR
• Occupancy rate
• Public awareness
• Hotel quality index
• Annual staff turnover 

2. Provide explanations on the key indicators in relation to how and why the performance is good/poor over the 24 months.  

3. Develop a strategic plan to improve the key indicators for the various hotel departments

• Front Office
• Housekeeping 
• F&B
• Marketing
• Human Resource

 
The Strategic Plan should be excluding references and appendices. Referencing should be in the APA Style (see Resources below for Tip Sheet). The report must be suitably referenced with a minimum of 10 academic references and may include photographs, maps, tables, diagrams, illustrations.
