How to Create Progress Reports in Projects

Assignment Task

1. The overall process of project

• Input to the project
• Algorithms/Procedures/ Guidelines/Tools/ Methods/ Techniques
• Output of the project

2. System Analysis or Requirement Analysis

• Mapping of requirements to the subsystems or modules chosen.
• Functionalities of the system and Subsystem.

3. System Design

• Data Flow Diagram - Level 0 DFD or block diagram showing the system and its subsystem. Level 1.. n DFD where each level reveal the details.
• Component design/Structural Design-Class diagram/Component Diagram to reveal the entire structure of the project.
• Detail Behavioral design should include
  • Use case Diagram
  • Activity Diagram
  • Sequence Diagram
  • Scenarios

4. Implementation of module completed or yet to complete (continuous process until completion)

Note:  The weekly progress report will be viewed seriously during Project Phase - 2 (Review - 1 and 2) presentation.
