Provide evidence that you have acted in a lead role with regard to planning, implementing and evaluating a systematic process for managing work health and safety risk in a work area.

For your organization, (or a hypothetical organization) submit documented evidence (notes, plans, meeting minutes, risk assessments, risk controls etc) showing how you:

• Identified organizational and legislative requirements by gathering, interpreting and applying information from a range of sources, following the necessary organisational policies and procedures
• Prepared to review the organizations’ health and safety policies, procedures and risk management processes by determining the nature and scope of the proposed review
• used pre-determined key performance indicators to help measure the success of current risk management processes and controls
• Consulted with duty holders and other relevant stakeholders using appropriate interpersonal communication skills
• Identified organisation-specific factors that impact on hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk controls
• Documented and recorded hazards, risk factors, risk assessments, legislative requirements and other health and safety information and data in the WHSMS and WHSIS
• Developed risk controls as needed and implemented and evaluated risk management processes
• Used the WHSMS and WHSIS to record risk management processes, the results of the evaluation process and any modifications to risk controls
• Provided information to stakeholders at all stages of the process

If you are using a hypothetical organization you should identify 2 significant hazards that may exist, and create the documentation to manage those risk. You may write from the perspective of the WHS Professional onsite. You should develop a report to management addressing the key points above, explaining what steps you are taking in relation to each point.
