There are 2 possible essay topics. Your essay should be words, with a cover page, a plagiarism declaration and using basic academic referencing (The Harvard Method). There is a dedicated lecture on Monday 3rd April on "How to write an Essay in Anthropology” in which we will cover issues such as essay structure, basic referencing, how to answer the question, and any other queries you may have about the assessment.

Your options are:

1) In what ways have anthropologists sought to explain the concept of ‘culture’? Refer to at least 2 readings from the course in your answer.

2) To what extent do you agree with the idea that rumors and accusations of witchcraft can be used to understand the changing dynamics of society? Refer to at least 2 readings from the course in your answer.
