My name is Tanisha Choudhary. I am basically from Jalandhar. I received my Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Lovely Professional University in 2018 and graduated with honours. Army Officers were my father's profession, and my mother is currently employed as an Army officer as well. Being raised in an Army family has instilled in me a strong sense of discipline. My other qualifications include two years of work experience. For the past nine months, I have been employed by Wipro, where I worked as a Human Resource Outsourcing Associate. Prior to that, I was employed by a start-up firm named Phronesis Partners, where I worked as a Business Research Associate. In addition, I am an athlete. I've competed in badminton and was selected to represent my State at the 2014 National Championships. During the 2012 season, I also competed in the Interstate Championship. Traveling, playing badminton are two of my favourite pastimes.

Being a people’s person, I always found myself to relate with people which led me to follow a career in Human Resource at Wipro and Prior to that, I was employed by a start-up firm named Phronesis Partners, where I worked as a Business Research Associate. Additionally, I like trekking and writing.
What is your one strength and one weakness?

Among my most valued assets are my strong work ethic and readiness to jump in when necessary. I'm not afraid to take on a difficult customer or work on a project that no one else wants since those are the ones that provide me with the most valuable learning opportunities. When it comes to going above and beyond my work description and doing whatever is expected of me, I am typically quite content. Despite my experience, I am not above any task, and I am proud of my ability to jump in and adapt quickly to any situation in order to accomplish the best possible outcomes for the organisation. Because my mother has a transferable work, I've had the opportunity to travel around India. As a result, whenever I transferred to a new station, I needed to make new friends. I've found that travelling to different areas and meeting new people has helped me to be more creative while also increasing my confidence. Now, in terms of the flaws, I believe that no one is completely faultless. Everyone has a few flaws that they need to work on. When it comes to my flaws, I have a tendency to be overly critical of my performance. Even when my work is well-received, I can't help but feel that I could have done more when a project comes to a conclusion. This frequently results in me overworking myself and exhausting myself as a result. Not only has this improved my career and confidence, but it has also taught me to respect my colleagues and other support systems, who are always there for me no matter what I am doing. I would also say that I have a weakness in that I am extremely detailed and descriptive at the same time, and as a result, it sometimes takes me a bit longer than usual to accomplish a certain assignment.

What is your single largest achievement so far? Why do you consider it to be your most significant achievement? How did you go about achieving it? (In no less than 500 words)
Ans- Our achievements are a tell-tale of our success. They show that we have contributed and made an impact on some people, organization or sometimes even society. My biggest achievement has been me qualifying to play at the National level for badminton. I always aspired to be a badminton player and my role model was my mother, who herself is a national level badminton player. The journey was not easy. I did not undertake any formal training; it was my grandfather who coached me all through. I remember the first time I held the racquet in my hand and already felt like a player. My grandfather had some very strict rules like preparing the badminton court and untying the neat. I had to get up early in the morning and follow a strict regime. I had a learn to strike a balance between my studies and my passion. During my 11th grade I represented my school at state level badminton championship and again got the opportunities to play at National level in grade 12th. During my university days too, I got the opportunity to pursue my passion with full zeal. I represented my university at the North zone Badminton Championship. The journey I had was not easy and seemed impossible however my family was supportive and held me through the process. People who play sports have a never dying spirit and nothing seems impossible to them. These are few of the attributes I have learnt from my sports career. Sports has also taught me to create a work life balance. 

What is your biggest failure to date and why? What would you have done differently if given a second chance? What have you learned from it? (In no less than 500 words)
Ans- We all have a bag full of failures, and failures can really help us learn more if they are viewed in a good light. They contribute to the quality of our daily lives. What matters is that we take something away from these encounters. There have been some difficulties that I have encountered from time to time. If I failed to perform in instances when I lacked commitment, I accepted full responsibility for my actions. When I was in college, I was in charge of the debating squad at my university. We had worked extremely hard to get to the semi-finals, where we were victorious. After this win I became over-confident that the finale would also be a cake walk. Despite the fact that my teammates desired to practise, I lacked the motivation to do so. We did not perform to the best of our abilities when developing our strategies. One of my team members and I got into a fight, which ruined the tone of the entire team and caused everyone to lose their concentration. We were eliminated from the tournament with scores that were worse than I could have imagined. However, this entire circumstance taught me how to keep my cool, function as a team player, and maintain my professionalism throughout. I came to the realisation that bringing my personal feelings into my workplace or professional life can be detrimental to both myself and my coworkers' well-being. I am grateful that these characteristics were instilled in me during my early professional years. Now, I believe I am more equipped and ready to face the hardships of life than I was previously. If we put effort into our shortcomings, they will eventually become our strengths.

Describe a challenging project or a seemingly impossible task which you have undertaken. What was the outcome? Also, list your major learnings. 
Ans- As a student earning my engineering degree, I was given the opportunity to lead a group of people. I served as one of the event coordinators for the International Go-Kart Championship and the Effi - Cycle competitions, which were both held at my institution. These activities took place over a period of 5-6 days. Students from over 80 different universities took part in these activities. I was in charge of the hospitality department and also served as the cost manager for the assembly of the Go-Kart and Effi-Cycle machines. As a team, we were responsible for keeping the judges informed about the cost of assembling these machines on a regular basis. The team assisted with the construction of the track, which allowed me to become more aware of my ability to work well in a group. Making the product both cost effective and sturdy at the same time proved to be a difficult task. The fact that I had to work under time constraints was one of my most valuable learning experiences. The tracks were rerouted on a regular basis in order to keep things interesting, and each team had a new track to run on in order to qualify for the next level. This experience also helped me to improve my problem-solving abilities. Things did not always go according to plan; for example, kart 4 was scheduled to go on the circuit from 1-1:30 pm, but the kart was not ready to run for the same period of time. As a result, it was our obligation to find another team that was up and ready to take their kart for a test drive and qualify for the competition. The most important things I took away from this experience were the following: problem-solving and strategic planning abilities, the capacity to cope under pressure, a flexible and quick-learning mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively and as a team member.

How does an MBA at this stage fit into your scheme of things? Why now?

Ans- Following my pursuit of an engineering degree, I was offered a position in the field of research and development. While working for the same company, I became fascinated with the field of business development. Exciting and engrossing were the feelings I felt when out in the field. As a result of my two years of experience and knowledge in the field of business, I was motivated to continue this course of study. I feel that given my skill set at this point in my life, I can strive and contribute with the utmost clarity and passion to the cause. I will be able to obtain a specialisation in one of the fields, which will provide me with a tremendous head start in my professional life.

Mention THREE of your strengths. Tell us about an incident in your past that brings forth each of these strengths.

Ans- So, the three strengths there would be
Discipline: - Because I come from a military household, I've always had to adhere to a set of severe standards in my daily activities. For example, eating dinner with a spoon so that there is less noise on the table, greeting our seniors when you pass them, and many other things.
Patience is required: - Due to the fact that both of my parents work in this area, my mother has always taught me to be patient and that the appropriate things would always come your way. When we put our hearts and souls into something, there is a chance that something may go wrong and we will have to start over. As a result, when working on something, patience is quite vital.

Respect: - We should constantly show consideration for our elders. Regardless of what others say, there is a risk that it will take you longer to complete the assignment, but that is the only way you will remember what you accomplished for the rest of your life. If a person chooses the shorter way, his or her job may be a success at the time, but later on, for whatever reason, the person may become trapped because his or her fundamentals were not apparent at the time.
Tell us THREE of your areas of improvement. What have you done to improve upon each of these areas?

Ans- Areas where I definitely need to improve are: -

Work and Professional Development: - Only at the beginning of the process do I have low expectations of myself, believing that I will be unable to complete the task on my own. I will almost certainly require assistance if I am to avoid becoming stranded anywhere. I don't force my thoughts through, and when I do, I somehow manage to complete the assignment, which gives me enormous happiness and self-confidence in my ability to succeed. I'm working on it and am gradually becoming more proficient. I've learned that a person should not rely on anyone else and should make every effort to complete the assignment on his or her own.
Making a Plan for Your Life: - There is a method to planning whatever it is that you want to do in life. Anytime we rush things to happen rapidly, we create a muddle that might occasionally result in a miscalculation. As a result, a person should slowly plan and find out what he or she wants to do in life, and then pursue that goal. The individual can just follow through with whatever he or she has planned and work on it without having to worry about the immediate future or the consequence of that activity.
Time Management- When a project is assigned, the group must select who is the most qualified in each area and then begin working on it. Additionally, the group must come together the day before the deadline to discuss the project and present it to the client.

Ans- A head start in my career will come from adding management abilities to my already gained technical knowledge; learning about corporate management will help me thrive in some areas that need polish. Post-graduation exposure will let me explore chances in the corporate world that I haven't had access to throughout my undergraduate studies. For me, managing small events and project work throughout my undergraduate years was a crucial factor in helping me identify critical abilities that helped me decide to pursue management courses. In the words of John Maxwell People who are successful and unsuccessful have similar abilities. My ambition to realise my full potential varies from person to person. To be able to utilise these talents in the workplace will help me improve my career and thrive in the future.

There were five participants who were selected for a specific category that we had after creating a pooling table for each and every member of the group. A deserving candidate was pushed into the participating squad by me, and I had to convince my college's HOD of Sports to allow the deserving individual to compete and represent our institution. A few days prior, she had been excluded from the group of 5. The other girl, who didn't perform particularly well, wanted to go because it was her final year in college; nevertheless, I stood up for the player who was more deserving because she used to practise and take the sport very seriously. The fact that she used to take the competition so seriously was something I admired. This led to her being named champion in her category, which she went on to claim.

Describe a situation where you needed to persuade someone to accept your point of view or convince them to change something. How did you go about it?

Ans- Before Wipro, I worked in the business research team at Phronesis Partners, where my team's job was to contact the Managing Directors of various firms and inform them of our goals and how we would keep them informed about their companies' performance. We had different people in our team who were in charge of managing the work that was given to us by the companies and delivering it on time. For instance, management consulting firms, pharmaceutical companies, and so on. We were in a difficult circumstance where we had to follow our seniors' advice and crack the deal. So we had the choice of sending them cold mail first, and then calling them to explain the process and the work ideas we had for them if they responded. I recommended that if the customer responds to the cold email, we conduct a video session where we as a team maintain track of our points and explain how this works to the client. After we've explained the process to the client, if they have any questions, they can ask them and we'll answer them right away, ensuring that the client is completely satisfied with the process and agrees to be our client in the future.
