Identify your organisation, and the industrial instruments that apply (ie. the enterprise agreement and the relevant award that applies). 

Section 1. Background context

Provide background information about the organisation covered by the enterprise agreement and the industry/sector that it operates in. Covering the following:

1. industry/sector, overall labour market trends, worker profile of organisation (ie. Main occupation and skills/experience)
2. Organisation mission (HR approach), enterprise bargaining history (if any)

Using newspaper/media articles may also prove useful – but should only supplement your academic research (not dominate!). 

Section 2. Employment relations issue

Identify and critique a key employment relations issue confronting this organisation today. Provide the background context to this issue/topic/debate - it could be organisation-specific or a wider issue or challenge confronting the sector (eg public policy debate)

Note: This section should be evidence based – You are required to research the academic literature for your analysis and can also use government reports, FWC reports to support academic sources. Section 3. Enterprise agreement and award/NES comparison. This requires you to:

1. Complete the details in Table 1 – based on the organisation's enterprise agreement and associated award (and NES where relevant).
2. Compare/contrast the weekly earnings and main employment conditions outlined in the agreement and award.
3. Identify one interesting/innovative provision within the enterprise agreement and explain why it is deemed innovative (consider how similar or different the agreement is to the award/NES).
