Individually, you will need to create a presentation to be submitted to the manager of a software company that is planning to restructure its operations.

The manager has hired you to help him move from a startup to a consolidated company. Competition is high, and the Information Technology industry presents several profitability issues related to suppliers, entry barriers, and demanding customers. At present, eight employees are working in the company. Two employees work in the Human Resource Department, four employees are software engineers, one employee is an expert in finance and accounting, and one employee is the company administrative assistant. Internal expertise is appropriate but has not helped provide a differentiation advantage. The company is managed by the founder and owner who has just hired you as a consultant. You are given a chance to provide informed advice and help the manager with this challenging endeavor.
