You might want to think about the following questions:
· What has happened / what is the ‘problem’ or ‘issue’ that you are reporting on?
· How does / should the law apply to the scenario as you describe it?
· Have a look at the Padlet for resources – you will find both cases and journal reading that you can rely on
· What is your core argument in relation to the question eg. Do you think there is a violation of one of the ECHR rights?

You are asked to produce a short report for JUSTICE who are investigating possible violations of the Human Rights Act 1998 and the ECHR by public authorities in the last three years. JUSTICE wants you to produce a report of no more than 1000 words on ONE of the following topics:
1) Whether delays in NHS ambulance response times amount to a violation of article 2 ECHR.
2) Whether the living conditions in asylum seeker accommodation centres during the COVID-19 crisis amount to a violation of article 3 ECHR.
3) Whether hotel quarantine regulations imposed during the COVID-19 crisis amount to a violation of article 5 ECHR.
4) Whether recent responses by public authorities to public demonstrations violated the right to protest under the ECHR.
