The aim of the research report is to critically evaluate the current responses to the problem that you have selected and make recommendations for improved global governance responses.

The research report should provide an introduction to the chosen topic, synthesise and critically analyse information about the global problem, the global governance arrangements, and global responses to it. Students should make recommendations for improved governance and policing and/or justice responses to their identified problem.

Introduction
Describe problem (i.e. summary of the problem being addressed – this can be the same or a different problem than the focus of the first assessment)
Examination of the global governance arrangements (i.e. international law, treaties, institutions, domestic implementations of international laws and treaties, and critical evaluation and analysis of them – you should consider whether these are effective arrangements or not) Examination of the global responses (i.e. policing, surveillance, justice arrangements and critically evaluate them, for example in terms of reducing the harmful impacts and upholding human rights)
