This subject focuses on web design and development. ASP.NET is a web application framework developed by Microsoft that allows developers to build dynamic web sites, web applications and XML web services. ASP.NET can be used to create anything from small, personal websites through to large, enterprise-class web applications. Students will apply their skills in creating a complex web-site structure; using naming conventions; manipulating images for the internet; writing basic web pages using tables and divs; providing navigation; creating interactive, functioning web sites. Students must include more complex features of HTML5 (e.g. canvas). Students will use jQuery Mobile development framework and ASP.NET for all site development and integrate jQuery Mobile into Web Forms, to construct browser-friendly output from the server for mobile devices.
