Individual Assignment

The individual is required to
The project could concentrate on installing a thin client network for a small school with solar panels, gel batteries, inverter and a small network of 20 desktop PC’s including a server, providing service to a classroom that has fluorescent lighting. Classes operate between the hours 8.30am to 3.30pm (7.00 hours)
Assumptions:
• The existing computer network is ON 5 days per week 24 hours per day
• The existing classroom lighting is ON 5 days per week 10 hours per day
The project requires the following:
1. Preparing to integrate sustainability into the planning and design stages the ICT project
2. Devising a strategy for incorporating sustainability into the ICT project
3. Analyze energy audit data from the project

Using the scenario provided, create a presentation (minimum 10 minutes around 10 presentation slides). Record your presentation using screen recording software – refer to these instructions for help with screen recordings and video.

Minimising file size
Whatever you choose to use, make sure you are aware of the resulting file size. The length of time your screencast takes will be a significant factor in file size but there are other factors below that you should consider too.
Audio
Voice over may add significant value to your screencast or may be required for your assessment task. If it is not required and the visual is sufficient to demonstrate all that is required avoid capturing audio with your screencast.
Note: Compression must not be too aggressive, the screen text must be readable by the assessor.
File naming
Unless specified otherwise in your Unit Assessment Guide files should be named “Firstname_studentid_assessment task.EXT”, for example John_PCT12345_ICTSUS601 Presentation.mp4
Your screen cast video must be .mp4 or .mov format.
Uploading your file
Screen casts under 32MB can be uploaded directly to the online learning platform. For larger files you must provide a video hosted link such as YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive or Dropbox.
Your presentation must address the following headings and content:
