• Instructions:
• Submit a report including steps details and screenshots of each task.
• Event 2: Task group 1
• Using Cisco Packet Tracer, deploy and configure the Wireless Broadband Router WRT300N. Include:
• A firewall rule for a website that you think should be blocked in a workplace.
• Modify the default password.
• Modify the default SSID and do not broadcast
• Use WPA2 Personal as security method.
• Rely on MAC filtering to increase security.
• Submit your Cisco Packet Tracer file with the name:
• ICTNWK421 AE2 Task 1_1 Your name.pkt
• Undertake three (3) actions to harden your operating system from vulnerabilities. You can use a virtual machine with any of the following operating systems: Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows 10, Linux (any) or OSX.
• In Server 2016, implement file permissions by completing the following tasks:
• Create a new group called ‘Test’
• Create a new user with the name ICANWK406 and make them a member of the new group
• Create a new folder named ‘ICTNWK406_YourName’ (YourName is your actual name e.g. TomSmith) on your server/workstation
• Allow the new group (‘Test’) read/write but not delete access to the new folder (ICTNWK406_YourName).
• Test the permissions in the Advanced Sharing/Effective Permissions area
• Implement data encryption by completing the following tasks:
• Using Windows Bit locker or TrueCrypt encryption technologies secure a USB drive using AES 256 encryption.
• Secure a Desktop or Server Disk with encryption using Windows Bit locker or TrueCrypt encryption technologies. You can create an encrypted volume or partition using AES 256 encryption.
• Tip: Bit Locker is part of the Windows Operating system for Windows 7 Pro/Ultimate and 8 onwards. If using Mac or unable to access Bitlocker use TrueCrypt from https://www.grc.com/misc/truecrypt/truecrypt.htm

• Implement Open DNS to filter web content by completing the following tasks:
• Add your home network’s WAN IP to be managed
• Set the filtering rule of your choice.
