Upon reviewing the job ticket and network diagram, you have found that further details are required for implementing this network infrastructure.
You will need to research and prepare for a meeting with the site manager that will allow you to discuss, obtain go-ahead approval for, and then complete the network documentation. Your assessor will nominate a suitable person to act as the site manager for you to liaise with in this role play.Considerations for this meeting include the following:

VLAN configuration.

Part 2: Role play – Vendor Interaction
Task 2.1 – Research, interpret and analyse technical information of vendor’s routers and switches.
You are required to research suitable vendor’s routers and switches and associated network equipment to gather technical information before you contact the vendor in role play Task 2.1 (following). You should look at websites, technical articles, comparisons, vendor manuals and any other relevant material that will allow you to gather information on the products you intend to use. You can choose any vendor that supplies routers and switches in Australia. After you have researched, looked at comparisons, interpreted and analysed the technical information you should make a summarised list of all relevant specifications for submission.
