Complete the following activities:
1. Write a project briefing report
The CEO has asked you to begin your work on the project by writing a briefing report to verify that the project supports the company’s strategic plans and complies with current legislation.
Review the case study and the company’s Strategic Business Plan.
Your briefing report should include the following:
• The organisation's strategic and business plans, and its output requirements
• The strategic and operational needs of the ICT project during the planning phase
• The project's strategic context and requirements

2. Write an ICT Project Plan
Review the case study information and the Project Management Policy and Procedures.
Your Project Plan should include the following:
• Introduction, including the expected project outcomes.
• Define and document precise specifications and terms of reference for the project
• Work breakdown structure
• Identify the project budget, specified to a level that can be used for the management of sub-tasks
• Define the skills needed for the successful completion of the project.
• Define the physical and other resources required to support the project
• Give timelines, schedules and the critical path for the project, taking into consideration contingencies and planning for time slippages
• Define the consultation strategy or process that will be used to inform the clients, contractors and other interested parties of the project's progress, and seek their input as required
• Define how the project will be finalised. See assessment task 4 to ensure that all elements of the project wrap-up are included.
Use the Project Plan Template and the Project Schedule Template to guide your work.
You will be presenting your plan to the Project Team and then revising it to incorporate the other team members’ feedback, so save this document as Draft Project Plan.
3. Prepare a draft of an email to be sent to the CEO (your assessor).
The text of the email should be in grammatically correct English, written in an appropriate (polite, business-like) style.
It should introduce and summarise the contents of the attachments and seektheir feedback and approval to move forward with the project.
The email text should also give some details about the people that you would like to have in the project team. Together you should have all of the skills required to successfully complete the project.
