Assignment Task

The purpose of this assessment task is to assess the student's knowledge required for developing technical requirements for business solutions

Nelson Supplies Pvt. Ltd. Is an Australian import and export company. They are looking to purchase a cloud-based solution for document management and storage. Their consultant has suggested that they should move to Microsoft Office 365.

They anticipate to have 35 users who will be using the new solution. All users have been using the Microsoft Office 2010 application. They all are well hands on in Microsoft Word and Excel, some also uses the Microsoft PowerPoint application. They do not have any other usage requirements. They however use PDF type of documents, especially as they pass documents to third parties. They convert their Word and excel files to .pdf using Adobe Acrobat professional suite. They currently have 15 licenses of Adobe Acrobat Professional.

Hey anticipate that each user will be required to have a personal 2 T GB space of storage. They also use shared drives (using the network map option of Windows operating system). There is one drive for each department, as:

5. Warehouse

6. Clearing and Forwarding

7. Management

These shared drives have never been tuned and each is grown around 400 GB. The plan is to use Microsoft OneDrive as the storage repository with proper security that includes the implementation of CIA (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability) principles.
