Highlights
Task:
For the Final Report component, you are required to produce a substantial and detailed research report by combining your research proposal with specific sections discussing the findings and implications of your research study. Your final report should include the following sections:
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY This section is where you provide an overview of your research study and briefly describe the key highlights of the study.
INTRODUCTION This section is where you identify and discuss the problem underlying your research study, and highlight the overarching focus and purpose of your research study. Research questions and objectives should be discussed here, so that the overall scope of your research study could be clearly identified and justified.
RELEVANT LITERATURE AND HYPOTHESES This section is where you critically review relevant bodies of research to develop the foundation upon which you propose at least three testable hypotheses related to your research problem, objectives, and questions.
RESEARCH DESIGN This section is where you explain and justify the method that you will adopt to collect the data that are required for testing your hypotheses. This section should address issues related to: Sample (e.g., who are your target respondents, why should they be included in the sample, etc.) Procedure (e.g., how are you obtaining information from the respondents, why is this approach appropriate, etc.) Measures (e.g., what questions are you asking of your respondents and in what format, why are these questions appropriate, etc.) RESULTS This section is where you analyse your data using a statistical application (c.g., SPSS) and report the associated findings. In particular, you should discuss findings in relation to the composition of your sample and the hypotheses you proposed. IMPLICATIONS AND CONCLUSION This section is where you provide a general review of your research study and advance a series of managerial recommendations on the basis of your research findings. Additionally, you should also include some brief discussion of the limitations of your study (e.g., what should have been done or considered but has not within the context of your research study) and recommendations for future research. For the Oral Presentation component, you are required to present your research study (including findings and recommendations) to the client. To this end, you are required to capture your presentation using appropriate applications (e.g., PowerPoint) and highlight the significance and value of your research study. The presentation should be done in a professional manner, using a combination of both technical (e.g., statistical findings) and non-technical (e.g., specific managerial recommendations) language. The outline of your presentation should be similar to that of your final report.
