1. Assignment Cheating Sadly, every semester we detect a large number of IOU students cheat in their assignments by copying and pasting from online resources and presenting it as their own. Prepare an essay where you address IOU students discouraging this behavior.
2. Consistency. Many students at institutions of Islamic learning like IOU set off to study, but most drop out and do not graduate. Prepare an essay where you encourage IOU students to complete their studies.
Expectations
- Your paper should be a well drafted academic work, containing an introduction, body and conclusion.
- Use only acceptable sources for your assignment. You should have at least three primary references relevant to the topic. If you use Wikipedia and its likes you will be penalized.
- Make sure you reference your work properly and that you cite every source. For this course the citation MUST be in Chicago Style with footnotes. A guide will be uploaded in the announcement forum on the Chicago Style of citation. Please do not forget to add your bibliography in the Chicago Style format.
- Your assignment body needs subheadings.
- Use your own words and avoid too many quotes.
- Font: Use one of these three: Arial, Calibri or Times New Roman. Font size 12 and for headings 14.
- Do not use notepad, WordPad or Pdf but strictly use a Word document. Should you upload your assignment in a manner other than word document, we reserve the right to grade your paper.
- Please note that failure to follow the above instructions will cause you to lose marks.
- Do not copy and paste from sources. If your plagiarism count is found more than 20% you will be penalized.
- Do not delay uploading your assignment as those that upload during the last few hours before the portal closes, usually experience technical difficulty uploading. Noting the lecturer of this course will not accept any assignments that was not uploaded on the portal.
