Even with some managerial training, it is argued that health systems are very complex. It is unclear what management and leadership capacities are needed by these health professionals to handle current and emerging challenges in managing public hospitals.

Problem Statement

The proposed study will focus on leadership and management capacities, particularly for health professionals who become public hospitals managers. Data from the survey will help identify the competency gaps and propose solutions to ensure healthcare professionals' success in management.

Aim of the Study

The aim of this study is to identify the current and the desired leadership and management competency levels of healthcare professionals in a management capacity at public hospitals, using a survey questionnaire, to identify ways of ensuring health professionals succeed in healthcare management
