You will first determine the scope of your response (i.e. the aspects of the group strategies you want to address, and to what extent). Bear in mind that, ideally, your intervention should be able to tackle urban transformation processes across multiple dimensions, scales, and temporalities: 

- It might emerge in a specific locale but also be in connections with other contexts at scale (through spatial linkages, networks of actors and so on);.

- It might develop over a specific timeframe, in a recombinant fashion over the short, medium and long term.

You will come up with a (set of) specific response(s) and will produce a design in both cities, either in the edges or in the core areas (or in both, if applicable). 

The interventions should consider the agency of the several actors involved in the production of urban space, and have an impact on individuals and groups of urban dwellers, through both processes and outputs. 

Thus, you will put forward schemes that enable you to unlock the transformative potentials of the sites. Each student will use three vertical A1 boards. The first board will feature a 300words (max) abstract. Other outputs such as physical models and audio-visual installations are welcomed. Further details can be discussed during tutorials.
