Design The assessment is based on a case study provided by the Tutor. This will be with the Assessments. A student can choose a business idea but it MUST be approved by the Tutor before beginning the assessment. Please note you must do your own or group work in the assessment. You MUST submit an individual assignment you’re your Data Mart. Groups of 4 are recommended to be able to complete the data warehouse, preferred to have 2 database and 2 programming students in each group.

• Production Database design
• Production Database Scripts including DDL and DML statements
• Populate the production database with data with evidence shown in the presentation
• Popular your main Data table into the database using a procedure (e.g. sales table)

3. Provide a list of requirements for your Data Warehouse
Based on the questions you identified for the organisation

4. Provide Excel analysis on the requirements you identified in step 3

• Create a spreadsheet with data for all tables
• Have Pivot Tables for the requirements suggested in task 3
• Have Pivot Charts for the requirements suggested in task 3

5. Design your Data Mart

• Data Mart Design list provided
• Identify the Facts and Dimensions
• Design your Data Mart, including (all group members must have a different data mart)
• Identify the model type used in each Data Mart
• Describe the benefits & disadvantages of using a schema type
• Describe why you used the schema type
